Envorem’s representation at ADIPEC builds strong industry partnerships
ADIPEC (The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference) is one of the world’s largest energy conferences and exhibitions, where over 2,000 organisations and global Oil and Gas industry professionals gather to “explore trends, cutting-edge innovations and the latest technological solutions that are shaping the future of energy”.
Envorem is pleased to have participated at ADIPEC twice. The company exhibited in the Decarbonisation Zone in 2023 and delivered two presentations at ADIPEC 2024 last November. This has undoubtedly helped us develop strong relationships with key players in the oil industry.
During our debut at ADIPEC 2023, we were informed that our patent had been granted by the European Patent Office, protecting our innovative technology. Our participation in the conference also led to a groundbreaking collaboration, with Envorem working with Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer and largest by revenue, to tackle a significant environmental and logistical challenge.
The project at the Shaybah Gas Oil Processing Station began in June 2024 and successfully concluded in August 2024, marking a pivotal moment in sustainable oily sludge remediation and showcasing the potential for innovative technology to redefine industry practices.
Building relationships at ADIPEC 2024 and expanding operations
Following the success of this pilot study, Envorem’s MD, Mark Batt-Rawden attended ADIPEC 2024 to deliver a presentation, sharing insights into how Envorem’s low-energy, water-based technology is transforming oil sludge treatment. His talk highlighted the significant reductions in emissions and energy consumption achieved through Envorem’s approach, reinforcing the company’s role in advancing the industry's environmental goals. The 2024 ADIPEC conference programme included more than 370 sessions across 10 conferences focused on decarbonisation, collaboration and innovation to address the world’s energy challenges.
“ADIPEC is a key opportunity to showcase our groundbreaking oil sludge remediation technology,” said Mark. “The company’s innovative green-tech solution continues to gain traction across the oil and gas industry, offering a more sustainable approach to the treatment of oil-contaminated sludges.
“Our process is an ideal natural method for dealing with oil-contaminated materials, including soil and sludge. It extracts hydrocarbons and safely returns solid material to the environment while enabling the oil to be recycled, adding to the profitability of a clean-up operation. Displacing incineration, just 22 Envorem systems could save more CO₂ than all the world’s non-oilfield carbon capture projects.”
Following ADIPEC, Envorem and Saudi Aramco have signed an $8.2 million contract for Envorem to clear a 500,000 m³ lagoon at Aramco’s Riyadh refinery.
Since ADIPEC, Envorem has continued to strengthen its partnerships in the Middle East, particularly with Saudi Aramco. The relationships nurtured at the conference have led to discussions on implementing Envorem’s technology at scale, supporting the oil giant’s commitment to improved waste management and sustainability. This represents a major step forward in deploying Envorem’s remediation systems more widely and helping the industry transition to cleaner, more responsible operations.
Other industry events Envorem has attended
Envorem has exhibited at other key events in the Middle East. Following a highly successful pilot for the National Oil Company of Oman, which achieved 97.5% oil recovery, we attended Oman Sustainability Week.
Our system also debuted at the Middle East Produced Water Oil & Gas Symposium & Exhibition in Saudi Arabia, where we unveiled our system for the first time. By participating in such events, which serve as key forums for innovation and sustainability in the energy sector, Envorem reaffirms its commitment to helping oil and gas companies meet their environmental responsibilities through practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
