Envorem hits target on Crowdcube with 111% overfunding

Envorem is pleased to announce that we have successfully hit our £300K fundraising target on Crowdcube, marking a significant step forward in our mission to deliver sustainable solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry. This will cover the cost of transport of equipment from the UK to Aramco’s Riyadh Refinery in Saudi Arabia as part of a $8.2 million project to clear a 500,000 M3 lagoon.

“Hitting and exceeding our target on Crowdcube is not just a financial milestone, it’s a signal that more people are recognising the urgent need for practical, scalable solutions to tackle oil industry waste. That’s exactly what Envorem provides.” – Mark Batt-Rawden, Managing Director of Envorem.

This achievement reflects growing confidence in Envorem’s patented green technology, which offers a low-energy, water-based alternative to traditional sludge treatment methods such as incineration or landfill. By reaching our target, we have secured the additional capital needed to support the development and deployment of our production-grade oil sludge remediation system, which are now ready for commercial use following a successful pilot in Oman.

“We’re grateful to all those who have backed this CrowdCube campaign,” said Envorem Managing Director Mark Batt-Rawden. “Hitting and exceeding our target on Crowdcube is not just a financial milestone, it’s a signal that more people are recognising the urgent need for practical, scalable solutions to tackle oil industry waste. That’s exactly what Envorem provides.”

Envorem’s process uses a phenomenon called hydrodynamic cavitation to separate oil from contaminated solids. No chemicals are used and energy consumption is around 5–10% of conventional thermal methods. The recovered oil can be returned to the client, while the cleaned material is safe for reintroduction to the environment.

By providing an effective and affordable way to clean up historic oil lagoons and prevent further environmental damage, Envorem is helping to reduce carbon emissions and support the oil industry in meeting its decarbonisation commitments.

This latest fundraising success follows a £1.6 million Innovate UK grant to support development of our full-scale system and growing international interest and projects under discussion in other oil-producing nations.

With the Crowdcube campaign now fully funded, Envorem can move forward with this major project in Saudi Arabia and can play a vital role in helping oil producers clean up legacy waste while improving their environmental performance.
