Envorem secures €130,000 investment at Danube Angels events in Europe

Danube Angels

We are pleased to share that Envorem continues to attract strong support from investors including more than €130,000 following two successful pitch events hosted by Danube Angels. The events in Austria and the Czech Republic, brought together investors, startups and industry leaders from across Central Europe.

(This follows on from our recent Crowdcube campaign in April, underlining the growing interest from investors who are focused on impact, sustainability and practical solutions to environmental challenges.)

Danube Angels is a respected investment network based in Vienna, focused on late seed and early growth-stage companies. Their support model centres on curated transactions, managed syndicates and long-term collaboration with startups that demonstrate both innovation and commercial potential. Danube Angels first invested in Envorem in 2021, again in 2024 and most recently in 2025, recognising the value of our clean technology and its potential global impact.

An enthusiastic response from investors

At both events, in Pörtschach, Austria (9 April 2025) and Prague, Czech Republic (27 May 2025) our Managing Director, Mark Batt-Rawden presented our low-energy, water-based technology for the remediation of oily sludge, a persistent environmental challenge in the Oil and Gas industry. Our system reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 1.1 tonnes per tonne of sludge treated when compared with incineration, while recovering valuable hydrocarbons and returning cleaned solids safely to the environment.

Danube Angels Managing Director, Paul Putz, expressed his continued support for Envorem, commenting: “Our investor network, has participated in every single financing round and we congratulate the whole Envorem team on the significant milestone of their first plant in Saudi Arabia. This reflects the perseverance of the founders and the team because the road to this point has not been easy and certainly not linear. We are now heading towards substantial commercialisation and we are happy to be on board!”

Both pitch events provided valuable opportunities to present our vision and progress. The Austria event saw us pitch as part of the Connect2Scale Pitching Day, where we were one of five startups selected from over 70 EU-wide applicants. In Prague, we joined the Investor Pitching & Stammtisch event, an engaging combination of formal presentations and informal networking. At both gatherings, we received encouraging feedback:

  • “Incredible technology and a smart investment.” – Evgeny Velesevich, Entrepreneur.

  • “This is the kind of sustainable innovation we need more of. Exciting to see Envorem leading the way in green tech.” – Peter Helesic, Co-Founder at Danube Angels

“The backing from Danube Angels is crucial in our journey,” said Mark Batt-Rawden. “Their support across several funding rounds demonstrates confidence in our mission to offer a viable, green alternative to one of the Oil Industry’s most difficult waste problems.”

This funding will help Envorem scale up our operations in the Middle East, where our first commercial project is underway in Saudi Arabia providing large-capacity remediation to Saudi Aramco. We have also just appointed a new Middle East Director, John Grover.

As we continue to grow, Envorem remains focused on delivering practical environmental solutions that reduce emissions, recover valuable resources and support the Oil and Gas Industry in meeting its sustainability objectives, without compromising economic viability.
