Envorem has taken the technology a long way already. It has been advanced from the lab and proven and the field to be effective in processing both oil-contaminated soil and sludge. The field trial was processing sludge at a similar rate to incinerators and thermal plants, but our production system available from December 2023 will handle 25 times that capacity.
Just one of our systems displacing incineration could save every hour, the CO2 equivalent of a flight from London to New York. Operating at up to 100m3 sludge per hour, for most sludges it would recover circa two hundred bbl of oil per hour for recycling.
Just 10 of our systems could clean-up within 5 years, the 17 million tonnes of oil-soaked sand in Kuwait left over from Saddam Hussein’s incursion. The UN has made available $2 Billion for the clean-up operation but to date, Kuwait has been struggling to find a viable technology.
The tailings ponds in Canada are estimated to contain 1.2 billion tonnes of sludge and the industry has been given 70 years to remediate it at an estimated cost of $130 Billion. Help us help them get it done in less than 10 years!
